Biggest Race in Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series History
June 4th & 5th at Great American Dirt Track, Jetmore, KS

The biggest race in Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series history is coming up at the Great American Dirt Track in Jetmore, KS on June 4th and 5th. This race will pay $10,000 to the winner, $700 to start, and there will be a total purse of $40,000 for the main event. The Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series will be co-sanctioning this event with the MARS DIRTcar Series and the NCRA Late Model Series. There should be a great field of late models at this race and some of the big name drivers that have already committed to being there are Jimmy Mars, Terry Phillips, Wendall Wallace, Jeremy Payne, Kelly Boen, and Al Purkey just to name a few. Some of the drivers that have raced with the Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series that have said that they will be at the race are Delbert Smith, Scott & Steve Lewis, Jason Schierkolk, Scott Cimfl, Dean Moore, Dave Garmann, and possibly Eddie Kirchoff Jr.
This race will be a UMP DIRTcar points race for both the MARS DIRTcar Series and the CLMA DIRTcar Series, but you will only be able to receive points in the region that the series that you sign in under belongs to. So if you would like to receive points for the UMP DIRTcar CO/KS/WY Region you will need to sign in as a CLMA DIRTcar Series driver. The top driver in CLMA DIRTcar Series points that fails to qualify for the race will receive a provisional.
Race Format at Great American Dirt Track, Jetmore, KS
Thursday, June 3rd
- Open Hot Laps from 6:30pm to 9:30
Friday, June 4th
Pill draw to line up heats
Top 20 in passing points from heats go to qualifying main.
Top 8 cars from qualifying main will be positions 1-8 in Saturday’s A-Main
Friday, June 5th
Cars that did not qualify Friday will redraw for Saturday night heat line ups
Top 20 in passing points from heats go to qualifying main.
Top 8 cars from qualifying main will be positions 9-16 in Saturday’s A-Main.
Remainder of cars not qualified for a main will run 2 B-Mains. Top 2 cars from each B-Main will qualify for A-Main.
There will be 2 provisionals for NCRA, 2 provisionals for MARS, and 1 provisional for CLMA
25 cars will start A-Main
Race Payout
$40,000 total purse for main
$10,000 to win A-Main
$700 to start A-Main
$150 for all Non-Qualifiers
Entry Fees
Car entry fee will be $150 for weekend
Thursday, June 3rd – Pit passes, $10; Grand Stands FREE
Friday, June 4th – Pit passes, $35; Grand Stands $30, kids under 11 FREE
Saturday, June 5th – Pit passes, $35; Grand Stands $30, kids under 11 FREE
There will be a two day pass for the grand stands for $50, but there is no two day pass for the pits.
It is looking like we will have a huge field of late models at this race and it will be one of the best shows of the year west of the Mississippi River. So, come out and be part of this huge event. I hope to see everyone there.
